The Finance Committee is a statutory committee of the Council. It advises on the management of the University’s assets.
The Finance Committee reports to the Council on matters that it has primary responsibility for, and is therefore directly involved in:
- ensuring the University’s accountability for the proper use of public funds
- supervising the University’s financial position
- business related to the University estate and buildings
- financial supervision of the Cambridge University Press, and other University-owned companies and bodies
