The General Board’s Education Committee (GBEC) is a committee of the General Board.
It is the principal standing committee for educational matters and the central authority for quality assurance and standards in teaching.
GBEC’s main duties are to advise the General Board on educational strategy and oversee the student experience, in particular:
- quality and standards of teaching, and the provision of appropriate courses of study and instruction
- student health and wellbeing
- equality and diversity in education
- student employment and careers
- the Student Complaints Procedure
- student disciplinary procedures
